Lion's Mane (Hericium erinaceus) is a mushroom valued for its culinary qualities and natural composition. It contains compounds such as erinacines and hericenones, which are the subject of scientific research related to their interaction with nerve growth factor (NGF).

Characteristics of culture substrates:

  • Harvest: Up to 1.5 kg of fresh mushrooms over 3 harvests.
  • Composition: Water, wood shavings, cereals, lime, Lion's Mane mycelium. Net weight of the bale: +-5.2 kg. Dimensions: 25 x 20 x 20 cm.
  • Usage: cooking & extraction of the active principles from the mushroom.

Lion's Mane can grow all year round in temperatures of 10 to 25°C. For optimal fruiting, avoid drafts and temperature variations. They require high humidity without being wet.

Tips for use: If you do not have adequate growing space, place a transparent plastic bag perforated with small holes above the bale. Air the bundle twice a day by removing the plastic.

Note: Harvest indications are based on our experience, but are not guaranteed. Productivity depends on growing conditions and grower experience.

(*) Our bales are certified organic “BE-BIO-01” by Certisys (Belgium).

Very satisfied

Hello, A little feedback on my purchase. The quality of the inoculated substrate, the course of the experience (first time for me), are perfect. I invite all the curious to give it a try. It's very simple. Incidentally, thank you for sharing your knowledge globally through your tutorials, without the intention of hiding any part that would make me dependent on "turnkey" products (for dummies). Everyone can progress if they wish in mastering the preliminary steps. Best wishes, and see you soon without fail

Lion’s mane

The lion’s mane bags are just incredible... At first I was skeptical seeing the mycelium that does not develop like oyster mushrooms but that is completely normal. After a few days of fruiting, the majestic mushrooms will start to grow and you can expect several flushes that will give you nearly 2kg. In summary, mycosphere is the specialist when it comes to mushroom cultivation.
They answer all your questions either by phone or by email, and the help of the mycoguide is a valuable tool for all beginners.

Thank you for this nice feedback. We work hard to make all this possible, and your feedback is very encouraging. 🙏 Have a good day

4 bags of Lion's Mane first try

Excellent product, 4 bags fruited in a homemade greenhouse.
First harvest of about 3 Kg after 14 days in the greenhouse.
One of the pockets of the bags (probably damaged during transport) had a hole once taken out of the box. This same bag still produced a first harvest but gradually started showing green mold inside.
Overall very satisfied.

Grows very well!

Grows very well. Well, I'm not a big fan of the very strong taste but otherwise the product works as it should 😊

It's growing!

I was a bit confused with the instructions at first (the cross-cut and the sides to do it on, in particular), but the product itself seems flawless! No sign of contamination on arrival, and currently the mushrooms have grown to a good size and apparently have not yet finished growing,

Excellent harvest, very easy

Very nice harvest (920 gr. at the first harvest after 2 weeks). Very very easy to use. This is the first time I did this and I am very happy with the result. Very good mushroom! I highly recommend this kit.
